Boulder Spring
Envisioned as a place where nature could unfold effortlessly, Boulder Spring was designed to welcome birds with grace and subtlety. The clients hoped for a feature that felt innate to the land—less like an addition and more like a discovery. In response, we crafted a boulder fountain whose quiet movement of water anchors a landscape shaped to look timeless, grounded, and naturally alive.

The project began with a hand-drawn sketch, capturing our vision for shaping a natural boulder into a fountain form. This early concept set the tone for a design rooted in simplicity, authenticity, and the quiet presence of water in the landscape.
The installed design showcases the boulder fountain as the focal point, surrounded by layered natural plantings, soft landscape lighting, and a subtly formed path that guides the approach to the home.
This illuminated stepping-stone path provides an alternate circulation route, ensuring easy movement when the driveway fills during gatherings.
