Echoes of the Foothills
Designed to echo the rolling foothills and soft mountain vistas that define the region, this landscape embraces a quiet, intentional approach. Our client sought screening and structure without heavy planting masses or oversized beds, asking instead for a composition that would complement—rather than compete with—the home’s architecture. We responded with restraint, layering plantings at subtle angles that align with the home’s geometry while introducing texture and movement throughout the seasons. Every species was selected for long-term scale, year-round interest, and its ability to soften edges, balance sightlines, and discreetly conceal visual clutter. The resulting landscape feels grounded in its mountain setting—structured yet gentle, refined yet natural, and perfectly suited to the rhythms of the foothills.
The angled plant beds are designed to introduce subtle depth and dimension, guiding sightlines and enhancing the composition from ground-level perspectives.
